Founding partner of Camaya Partners and responsible for the M&A practice, João has solid expertise in merger and acquisition operations developed over the last 20 years. Throughout his career, he advised numerous transactions in service, retail, technology, food, chemical and cosmetics industries, among others. He is also a board member of Evertrend Software, LLC, and Vendesk Plataforma Digital de Vendas Ltda. He led the restructuring process of Montelac Alimentos S/A., where he also acquired an indirect equity interest. Prior to Camaya Partners, João held executive positions in Finance and Operations at AT&T, IBM, and Lockheed Martin. He holds a BA in Business Administration from FEA-PUC/SP and MBA from FIA-USP.
Specialist in business valuation and feasibility studies for investment affairs, Junio is associated to Camaya for special projects and has recently concentrated his work on infrastructure projects, especially in heavy construction, sanitation, oil & gas and energy. He holds a degree in Public Administration from EAESP-FGV, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration and PhD in Finance from FEA-USP. He was co-author of the books “Financial Calculation of Treasuries” and “Credit – Analysis and Risk Assessment”, and professor of the “Portfolio Theory” discipline for Saint-Paul Institute of Finance.
Partner at Camaya Partners, he works in the practice of mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he was Vice President of Business and New Technologies at CTC – Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira, a leading company in the development of sugarcane technologies in the world. He also served as Director of Business Development Latin America at BP (British Petroleum), for 10 years in 5 business units. Prior to BP, he held leadership roles at global companies such as McKinsey & Co. and Enron International. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UnB-Universidade de Brasília and a master’s and doctorate (Ph.D.) from the University of Texas. He also holds graduate degrees in Logistics and Transportation from the University of Miami and in Business Administration from McKinsey & Co in Clearwater, Florida.
